Quick food spot for a hot meal. Decent prices. Food taste- 8/10 for me Lots of seating around if you’re looking to dine in. Wait time- about 20-30 mins
Overview
Walking into Taste N Take at 4257 New Falls Rd, Levittown, PA 19056, United States feels like stepping into the kind of neighborhood diner people quietly protect as their own. The first thing that hits you is the smell-grilled onions, fresh coffee, and that unmistakable comfort-food aroma that instantly makes you hungry, even if you swore you weren’t. I’ve eaten at plenty of diners across Bucks County, and this one stands out because it feels lived in, not staged.
On my last visit, I sat at a corner table watching a steady mix of locals come and go. Some ordered their usual without opening the menu, which says a lot. The menu itself is straightforward but broad, covering breakfast classics, hot sandwiches, burgers, cheesesteaks, and daily specials that rotate based on what’s fresh and what people keep asking for. That balance matters. According to data from the National Restaurant Association, diners that keep familiar staples while rotating specials tend to build stronger repeat traffic, and you can see that play out here in real time.
Breakfast is where this place really earns its reputation. The eggs are cooked exactly how you ask-no guessing, no overcooking. I ordered a classic bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll, and it came out fast, hot, and generously filled. The potatoes on the side were crisp on the outside, soft inside, and clearly cooked in small batches. That’s not accidental. Short-order cooking like this relies on tight timing and pan control, something only experienced grill cooks consistently get right.
Lunch brings a different crowd, and the energy shifts. Construction workers, office staff, and families all share space without it feeling crowded. The cheesesteaks are a local favorite, and after trying one, it’s easy to see why. Thin-sliced beef, properly seasoned, melted cheese worked into the meat, and a roll that holds together until the last bite. It’s the kind of sandwich that reflects real-world testing-made, adjusted, and refined based on customer feedback rather than trends.
What also stands out is how reviews match the experience. Many online reviews highlight consistency, fair pricing, and friendly service, and that lines up with what I’ve seen firsthand. The staff moves with purpose but still takes time to chat. That kind of service culture doesn’t happen by accident. Hospitality experts often point out that small diners succeed by building relationships, not just meals, and this place clearly understands that.
The location helps too. Sitting right on New Falls Road makes it easy to swing by whether you’re local or just passing through Levittown. Parking is simple, and the flow of customers throughout the day keeps the space feeling active without being chaotic. One limitation worth noting is that during peak breakfast hours, wait times can stretch a bit, especially on weekends. Still, most regulars seem to accept that as part of the deal, knowing the food is worth it.
Beyond the food, there’s something reassuring about a diner that doesn’t try to reinvent itself every six months. The approach here leans into home-style cooking, reliable portions, and familiar flavors done well. Culinary institutes often emphasize mastering fundamentals before experimenting, and that philosophy is on full display here. You won’t find gimmicks, but you will find meals that deliver exactly what they promise, which explains why so many people keep coming back.

This is my go to sport for Halal food in the Levittown area. The food is consistently hot, fresh and made to order. My favorite dish is the lamb over rice platter! Much recommended!!
Great service , great food , fresh , good portions and the staff is very friendly . Found a new gem . Ty guys .
The chicken over rice combo was one of the best I’ve ever had! I loved mixing in the side salad in and the white sauce was delicious. The fries were fine, definitely needed salt. The flavor of the falafel was great but it was very dry, too crispy on the outside and I wish I came with white sauce or even an option to pay for a side of white sauce. We will definitely be back and I will ask next time I pick up! Update 5/29/24- this time I ordered via the DoorDash app and there was no additional charge. I was able to put a comments for extra white sauce and they delivered with two extra! The chicken over rice was just as amazing as I remembered, and the falafel was not as dry this time. Can’t wait to return.
Absolutely delicious food, huge portion for a reasonable price. Food was ready super quick! We got the chicken and the lamb and ended up splitting both between us because they were both so good we couldn’t choose!
Great little place if you are looking for something different than the usual pizza, cheesesteaks, and wings. I had the chicken over rice and it was great. Service was good and the food was great. I'd highly recommend checking this place out.
We have been looking for a good option for Gyros and rice platters since we moved to Levittown, but nothing turned up until now! I came across Taste N Take by accident on Google maps and I'm happy I did. The customer service was excellent, the food was fresh and delicious, quick and affordable. We tried the Chicken, Lamb and Falafel rice platters which came with chopped salad on top and option of white sauce and/or hot sauce (which was not spicy enough for me but I have a high tolerance). The platters came with a free canned soda!
